What You’ll Be Doing

The Senior Manager, Audit is a professional responsible for delivering core audit services within the designated line of business and promoting the goal of improving the overall system of internal controls at CIBC.

How You’ll Succeed​ 

  • The role applies professional knowledge and provides advice in relation to the division’s risk-focused annual audit plan.  
  • Makes decisions which influence department strategy, regularly recommending new processes to simplify internal audit processes, identify business deficiencies, and understanding operational risk.  
  • Applies innovation, and substantial communication and problem solving to resolve complex matters, advising the business of best practices to support the internal audit/controls strategy.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s / master’s degree with a major in economics, statistics, finance, accounting, business administration or related are area preferred  
  • Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in internal audit  
  • Experience in internal audit with large US or foreign banking organizations  
  • Excellent project oversight and leadership skills  
  • Superior time management skills, with ability to effectively prioritize  
  • Strong process improvement skills  
  • Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills  
  • Track record of successfully coordinate cross-function teams  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and ability to effectively present information within and across team both verbally and in writing  
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint  
  • Exposure to the regulatory landscape of the banking industry  
  • Risk data and/or modeling, model risk management experience an asset

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
