As part of a small, passionate, diverse, accomplished and rapidly evolving team of experts, you will assemble major launch vehicle structures, secondary structure, and other spaceflight systems. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of transforming the way rockets are made and operated. Implements strategies meant to improve the organization's financial performance and competitive positioning through continuous improvement of production-related processes. Identifies manufacturing processes or procedures that could benefit from operations process improvement. Supervises the production operations team overseeing all functions of planning, scheduling, demands, assembly, and structural or efficiency optimization and approves the implementation of changes.
"B" shift is a Monday thru Thursday schedule 10 hours a shift. 4-pm to 2:30am
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Build and lead a high-performing team, assembling large aerospace primary structures and/or integrating systems.
- Guide teammates and ensure that each person has everything necessary to succeed.
- Champion continued learning and growth to attract, develop, and retain great people.
- Conduct regular check-ins to ensure team member performance, fulfillment, and growth!
- Author job descriptions, screen candidates, and conduct interviews. Make hiring recommendations.
- Develop and implement process, efficiency, and safety improvements.
- Prioritize work based on production schedule and organizational goals.
Minimum Qualifications

- Experience as a “front line” leader, working directly with individual contributors in various roles.
- Work collaboratively with teams of diverse skills, fields, and backgrounds
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
- Work effectively with a strong work ethic and close attention to detail in a fast-paced dynamic team environment with constantly evolving roles and responsibilities - to make it all happen - step by step, ferociously.
- Ability to communicate clearly and appropriately - in writing, in person, and via video calls.
- Digital literacy
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Management, Business, etc.) or equivalent directly related years of professional experience.
- Work wherever, whenever, however, to help your team succeed. This will include extended hours. Occasional remote work and/or flexible schedule is available when possible.
- Other duties as assigned or otherwise beneficial to fulfilling the mission. We all fly together!
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, and test procedures
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and coordination skills
