About the role

Job summary:

Western Midstream (WES) Digital Technology (DT) organization is seeking a DT Field Coordinator located in the surrounding Powder River Basin Field. The DT Field Coordinator role is the Primary IT facing interface to the heart of WES operations, focusing on the WES digital technologies environment. The ideal candidate will wear many hats, adapting to the needs of the business in the areas of all IT hardware deployment and troubleshooting, IT/OT networks and related infrastructure; all to enable WES operations for business success.

 

Qualifications:

  • Use the Service-Now system and work with outsourced Help Desk personnel
  • Comfortable traveling within the field to WES locations to provide related DT infrastructure support often (driver’s license required)
  • Excellent people skills and customer service focus
  • Self-motivated team player who can work with little direct supervision
  • Travel to other WES locations outside Delaware Basin will be required as necessary (10% or less expected)
  • Experience in PC/Server hardware, printing, A/V technologies (1-3+ years)
  • Windows operating system configuration and troubleshooting skills (3+ years
  • Experience in IT/Network infrastructure support is required (1-3+ years)
  • Ability to work overtime/weekends and be on call as required
  • Ability to lift a few ounces up to 50 pounds. Physical ability and flexibility to crawl under furniture to make computer connections

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with DT needs for onboarding new employees
  • Provide on-site support related technical support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network/infrastructure issues, including identification, triage, analysis, processing, and ensuring timely resolution to minimize downtime
  • Assist on DT infrastructure projects; assume graduating roles and responsibilities based on current and developing skills
  • Conduct training and build related documentation to assist users with DT related infrastructure and systems
  • Manage and track DT inventory, including hardware, software licenses, and peripherals.
  • Coordinate and implement upgrades, patches, and enhancements to DT systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, providing updates and reports on DT activities in the field.
  • Act as a point of contact for DT-related emergencies in the field, collaborating with relevant teams to address critical issues promptly.

Education:

  • High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred in the Information technology field

Travel Requirements:

  • 0-10%

Work Schedule:

  • This position follows a hybrid schedule working in office Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and working remote Wednesday and Friday. Monday-Thursday are 9 hours and Fridays are 4 hours.
