About the role

As a Human Resources Generalist(Warehouse Operations), you will work under general supervision, provide human resources guidance to assigned business groups, including employee relations, recruiting and staffing, performance management, compensation, benefits, diversity, conflict resolution, training, and process coordination.  You will consult with management on strategic and operational HR and business issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Counsels managers and supervisors regarding employee relations issues and recommends actions consistent with policy. 
  • Counsels and advises management and employees on problem resolution, supervisory discretion and policy interpretation. 
  • Advises and assists managers to ensure consistent application and compliance with HR programs, policies and initiatives.
  • Assists in development of project plans and executes plans to enhance staff development, engagement and retention.
  • Assists in identification, gap analysis, action planning and execution to close organizational gaps in areas of employee satisfaction, organizational development and effectiveness, training and diversity.
  • Coordinate Employee Engagement and Retention efforts
  • Partner in Safety Investigation and safe work place initiatives 
  • Advise on leave management cases - FMLA, ADA, Workers Compensation, leaves of absence 
  • Investigates employee relations issues, EEOC claims and workplace conflicts and recommends appropriate actions.
  • Assists with issue resolution, performance plans, corrective actions, terminations, recognition, exit interviews, succession planning, FLSA, and other human resources policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree is required
  • Bi-Lingual: Spanish preferred
  • Human Resources certification is preferred.
  • Progressive HR representative experience in industry with large scale, dynamic change initiatives.
  • Arizona state experience. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Exceptionally well-organized, detail oriented.
  • Employment law knowledge with multi-state compliance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and project management skills.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to work well under pressure of deadlines and competing priorities.

This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements.
For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents. For certain sales roles, Wesco also offers a commission structure that provides additional compensation based on sales results, as defined by the applicable commission plan.
