Job Description Summary

The Weld County Department of Human Services Employment Services Division is searching for a Bilingual Workforce Representative to provide employment information and resources to South County Employment Services visitors. Identify customer needs and refers to appropriate program, resource or partner agency. Assist customers in accessing information and services in Employment Resource Room. Provide testing utilizing a computer based delivery system for a diverse customer base that encompasses illiterate to post-secondary levels of education. This position is in-person and is not eligible for consistent telework arrangements.

The Ideal Candidate for the Department of Human Services, Employment Services Division will be someone who possesses the following traits:

Provides employment information and resources to visitors at the Fort Lupton Employment Services Workforce Center. Identifies customer needs and refers them to the appropriate program, resource, or partner agency. Assists customers in accessing information and services in the office/center. Responsible for pre/post testing of a diverse customer base utilizing a computer-based delivery system.

Job Description

Administrative (20%):

  • Adheres to strict confidentiality guidelines and appropriate release of information.

  • Enters and maintains customer and program information into County or State data management systems.

  • Completes all required data entry accurately, timely, and appropriately based upon specific program requirements.

  • Compiles records and prepares various reports, following program requirements.

  • Maintains equipment through regular cleaning and maintenance activities, keeping the office/center area clean, providing a professional environment for customers.

Customer Service (60%):

  • Greets and directs a diverse customer base of walk-in customers and visitors, identifying the purpose of their visit.

  • Checks in program participants for appointments and monitors to ensure they are seen promptly by staff.

  • Provides calm, respectful responses to individuals under distress, often referring customers to relevant agencies, community partners, or their case manager. 

  • Answers incoming phone calls identifying efficiently and accurately, the caller's need and directs the caller to the proper department employee or partner agency.

  • Assists individuals with on-line employment websites and job-related resources.

  • Obtains critical information for matching customers with potential job opportunities and appropriate work readiness program, identifying and evaluating potential employment needs of each customer based on individual employment barriers.

  • Provides customers with information on various employment and training opportunities and counsels them on career options, labor market statistics, and other available employment-related resources.

  • Encourages jobseekers to utilize and participate in activities and programs that increase their ability to become employed.

  • Provides instruction and support to a diverse population of customers, including at-risk youth, court-mandated participants, and professional job seekers, enrolled in the Assessment & Learning Center.

  • Administers and oversees all assessments and testing conducted in the office/center, assisting customers in using the training
