Are you a driven and experienced leader with a passion for manufacturing excellence? At our Rice Creek site, we’re seeking a Senior Manufacturing Supervisor to oversee and guide production operations, ensuring that quality, cost, and efficiency goals are consistently met. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in driving operational success by leading a high-performing team, managing resources, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

As a Senior Manufacturing Supervisor, you’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align production schedules, optimize workflows, and support the development of innovative solutions that meet business objectives. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while contributing to Medtronic’s mission of improving lives through cutting-edge medical device manufacturing.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Coach and supervise a group of Production Associates and Group Leads 

  • Train, develop, and motivate the workforce toward continuous quality improvement, a positive and safe working environment, and cost-effective operations 

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives 

  • Work closely with other Supervisors and Planning to ensure appropriate staffing, training, and certification levels 

  • Improve schedule linearity, reduce cycle times and inventory, reduce costs, and improve employee satisfaction 

  • Promote an environment of employee empowerment, teamwork, and continuous improvement through lean principles, compliance, quality, personal growth and development 

  • Participate in performing annual performance reviews, pay adjustments and Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for all direct report employees 

  • Deliver performance coaching and discipline to direct reports 

  • Track OEE and scrap across all processes  

  • Support updates to SOPs, Work Balance Charts, Standard Work, etc. to improve current processes 

  • Lead and support problem solving activities utilizing 5 Whys, Fishbones, A3s, etc. 

  • Monitor product quality, respond to quality incidents, and coordinate corrective actions as necessary 

  • Conduct regular and ongoing informational and improvement team meetings 

  • Monitor compliance to safety rules, work expectations, and housekeeping standards 

  • Ability to interact with a computer and communicate with peers and co-workers 

  • Management Skills: Management of Financial and Material Resources, Critical Thinking, Project Management, Management of Personnel Resources, Collaboration and Productivity Software, Effective Communication Skills.  

  • Functional Skills: Machining and Manufacturing Technologies, Proficient computer skills, Data Science and Analysis, Lean Manufacturing and continued improvement, Managing Quality. 

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
