Job Summary:
As the Director - HR Services, you will be responsible for all aspects of human resources, including employment, education/training, development, compensation, benefits, labor relations, and employee relations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Foster an environment that embodies Bally’s Born to Entertain philosophy by creating a fun-filled, entertaining atmosphere
- Enthusiastically promote Bally’s customer-centric culture of offering superior guest service and actively building long-lasting guest relations
- Become a strategic business partner to senior management on all human resources-related issues
- Support the development and implementation of human resources programs that support the strategy, goals, and objectives of the organization
- Develop and coordinate training and employee development programs that meet the organization’s needs as they relate to legal compliance, performance improvement, guest service and satisfaction, and employee professional growth and development
- Coordinate and execute recruitment, selection, and promotional programs that support diversity and inclusion in the workforce; ensuring that the organization is staffed with well-trained diverse employees
- Support and execute employee relations programs that support the retention of competent, solid-performing associates and the development of programs that coach and counsel associates in a fair and respectful manner
- Coordinate diversity initiatives with the functional leader of all departments
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory controls, both internal and external, including but not limited to state and federal laws and other applicable regulations
- Hire, train, and manage staff in accordance with organizational and departmental policies and programs
- Conduct team member feedback sessions to monitor workplace satisfaction and provide feedback to senior management regarding process improvement
- Establish, implement, and enforce policies and procedures by regulatory requirements, Company initiatives, and organizational goals
- Develop and maintain a welcoming, safe, professional, and friendly work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must have 5-7 years of Human Resources leadership experience
- Casino industry experience a plus
- Labor Relations experience a plus
- College degree or work-related experience
- Computer skills required using a database, spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation software
- Must be able to work with high volumes of confidential information in a professional manner
- Must be detailed oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary Illinois State Gaming licensing
- Must be 21 years of age or older
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to see, talk, hear, walk, sit, and stand
- Frequently required to use hands to handle, feel, and reach
- Occasionally required to stoop
- Occasionally lift and or move up to 30 pounds
Work Environment:
The work environment contains bright lights, loud noise, and stressful situations.
