About the role

SUMMARY

The Senior HR Systems Manager is directly responsible for the management of the HRIS organization. You will be responsible for the management and development of the HRIS team supporting the HR systems, such as Oracle Fusion HCM and Recruiting, Learning Platforms, Performance Management, Core HR processes and other technologies/ systems across HR.  The Senior HR Systems Manager will also be responsible for the governance of the HR technology portfolio and roadmap.  This role plays as a strategic tech partner to the HR organization to drive, lead and implement emerging technologies to optimize delivery.

The Senior HR Systems Manager will be involved in HR initiatives for the organization, including development of HRIS training material, procedures, technology enhancements, prioritization, and establish best practices around HRIS. This role will ensure successful execution of HR Information Management projects. They will develop and oversee the execution of plans toward developing effective and efficient systems and will collaborate effectively with the ITS Department, in doing so. The Senior HR Systems Manager will provide guidance and leadership for application configuration and must have prior experience managing, supporting, and configuring a variety of HR systems. The Senior HR Systems Manager needs to be able to manage concurrent competing high priority projects and tasks.  As the Senior HR Systems Manager, you will be responsible for the oversight of the HR Technology portfolio strategy, emerging trends, building out the tech roadmap and governance plan.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execution of strategy and the operational direction of the HRIS team, and HR technology.

  • Oversee and develop HRIS Analyst team to represent technology impacts and solutions for HR business partner teams. 

  • Assess the HRIS capabilities and make recommendations for improvements in systems and related processes. 

  • Oversee and lead the implementation of HR Systems solutions. Work to implement and update downstream and upstream integrations to meet business needs.

  • Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders to deliver superior service in support of key initiatives.

  • Ownership of functional strategy and the operational direction of the department.

  • Build and govern the HR Tech Portfolio.

  • Stays abreast of latest technology trends, offerings with a lens on how to elevate current processes and offerings.

  • Work with HRIS and ITS to research complex problems that often require extensive investigation and analysis.

  • Prioritize initiatives and influence others to accept practices and approaches.

  • Promote proactive approaches using the applicable HR systems to solve business needs/problems, while also enhancing the understanding and acceptance of the system capabilities.

  • Leads and/or oversees the analysis/evaluation, innovative design, business requirement specifications, project plan development, and implementation of HR related technology, systems and process across HR.

  • Monitors, assesses, and institutes continuous improvement initiatives to maintain sustainable HR technology, systems and processes critical to providing high quality and efficient support and service.

  • Recommends new HRIS services, process and/or procedures to continual improvements in efficiency in all functions of the human resources department.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience working with HR technologies and/or HR management tools

  • A minimum of 5 years of Human Resources managing and developing teams

  • Demonstrated experience implementing and managing enterprise systems

  • Exhibit both Human Resources knowledge and technical skills necessary to identify and translate business needs into technical solutions

  • Have a proven track record of motivation and developing effective teams

  • Able to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and priorities
