Position Summary
The Program Coordinator is a key member of the Kripalu Schools team, responsible for the successful planning and execution of trainings, both onsite and online, within the Kripalu Schools and related program areas. This position will serve all four schools—The Kripalu School of Yoga, School of Ayurveda, School of Mindful Outdoor Leadership, and School of Integrative Yoga Therapy, with a specialized focus in the Kripalu School of Integrative Yoga Therapy.
This role manages all phases of training logistics, including pre-training preparation, in-session support, and post-training evaluation. The Program Coordinator ensures high-quality educational delivery, advises on best practices and safety protocols, and supports the Director in assessing program success and identifying areas for improvement. This role acts as a central liaison among faculty, assistants, mentors, students, production staff, and administrative teams.
The ideal candidate is passionate about yoga, yoga therapy, meditation, mindfulness, and wellbeing. They bring strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, adept social and emotional capacities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. A positive attitude, initiative, and excellent communication and customer service skills are also essential.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate training logistics and support, including preparation meetings with faculty and/or the Director.

Confirm faculty and support staff schedules; manage assignments and program timelines.

Oversee all logistical aspects of training programs including setup, supplies, communications, and production coordination.

Serve as the main point of contact for student communications and curriculum-related inquiries.

Maintain and update student databases, transcripts, certificates, and contact lists.

Schedule and track adjunct faculty hours; manage payroll input for part-time and adjunct staff.

Build and maintain training modules within the Learning Management System (LMS).

Monitor program budgets and report on expenses in collaboration with the Director.

Manage classroom logistics, including attendance, homework, evaluations, and student concerns.

Coordinate logistics for practice teaching and mentoring sessions.

Conduct post-program debriefs with key stakeholders to assess outcomes and identify improvements.

Support curriculum delivery in collaboration with Directors and faculty.

Maintain Program Coordinator Manuals for consistency and training.

Work with school administrators to develop internal policies aligned with Kripalu’s broader organizational standards.

Collaborate with other coordinators to cross-train and support additional programs as needed.

Monitor and maintain program alignment with IAYT (International Association of Yoga Therapists) standards and accreditation, including managing change requests, formatting updates, faculty transitions, and mentor assignments to ensure continuous compliance.

Serve as a primary point of contact for students regarding curriculum-related inquiries, offering guidance on IAYT and Kripalu competencies, review sessions, and extended certification requirements.

Coordinate and oversee the ongoing Mentored Practicum component of the program, ensuring a structured, supportive, and compliant experience for both students and mentors.

Handle special projects and additional duties as assigned.
Schedule Requirements
Evening and weekend availability is essential. Flexibility to adjust based on training needs is required.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent experience.

3+ years in office administration or program coordination, including 1+ year supervising staff.

Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and advanced Excel; strong data management skills.

Experience using learning management systems (LMS); familiarity with Canvas strongly preferred.
