Position Objective:
The Kidder Creek (“KC”) Mountain Bike Camp Lead is responsible to lead campers and staff in the Mountain Bike Programs to ensure that students have a fun, safe and missional adventure experience in a manner consistent with MHA’s mission, vision and values.
General Qualifications:
The Kidder Creek (“KC”) Mountain Bike Camp Lead is a Ministerial position. Ministerial staff render their work, stewardship, relationships and behavior as evidence of being followers of Jesus Christ while embracing and affirming Mount Hermon Association, Inc.’s (“MHA”) mission, vision and beliefs. They are responsible for defining, cultivating and leading MHA’s Christian community, conference programs, and retreats.
Key Job Accountabilities:
- Shred Gnar with campers while teaching them to send it responsibly and progressively.
- Transport campers to and from offsite camp activities.
- Ensure the safety of all campers at all times to the best of your ability.
- Implement the spiritual curriculum of Mountain Bike camps.
- Impart your knowledge, skills and passion of biking to campers and staff.
- Lead debriefs with campers and relate activities and experiences to applicable Biblical truth.
- Oversee Mountain Bike camp logistics including food, food prep, transport, campsites, keeping vehicles and camp areas clean.
- Actively participate in and contribute to the broader camp program both on and off KC ensuring a smooth execution of the program specifically by being on time, prepared and willing to assist with immediate and/or unforeseen needs.
- Share in the responsibilities of keeping camp areas including cabins, living areas, workspaces and supplies clean and orderly. Assist in service needs (maintenance, foodservice, and housekeeping) at camp as assigned by the KC Leadership team.
- Actively engage and help build the summer staff community with your attitude, words, and actions.
- Attend all required staff meetings and events.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications
Education/Certifications/Licenses:
- Must be at least 21 years of age with a clean driving record due to MH driver policy.
- At least 3 years’ college experience preferred.
- Must be CPR/WFA certified prior to arriving at camp. WFR, WAFA certification is preferred.
- IMBA MB Coach Training Preferred.
Work Experience:
- Prior experience working with elementary, junior high school students.
- Prior Biking experience required.

- Ability to articulate the gospel of Jesus Christ as communicated in Scripture.
- Ability to demonstrate a personal, committed and thought-through faith in Christ.

- Ability to follow-through, be creative, and to adjust to challenges of the program.
- Ability to engage in a variety of outdoor activities and demonstrate sound judgement.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing job assignments and schedules with short notice.
- Ability the shred the gnarly trails while giving campers someone to look up to.
