General Summary:

Leads and Manages the planning, execution, and measurement of marketing, advertising, promotional and partnership initiatives as well as assigned personnel to impact the DART system.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the development of DARTs annual promotions and media plans. Oversees the implementation and execution of marketing and promotions designed to increase customer engagement, consideration, ridership, and relevance.
  • Serves as relationship manager and primary liaison with external companies and organizations in developing and executing partnerships/strategic alliances and the allocation of DART advertising assets.
  • Interfaces with DART senior leadership and internal departments to find the best solutions for their marketing and creative needs. Represents Marketings value, and also represents the voice of the rider customer.
  • Develops talent and coaches team of direct reports to achieve success through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Manages the marketing aspect of the service development process and partners with the leader of Marketings Creative Services team while interfacing with Service Planning, Innovation, Technology and Operations to develop and market DART core and ancillary services.
  • Informs UI/UX for technology projects with Marketing involvement.
  • Defines research opportunities and oversees data insights and collection to provide informed recommendations.
  • Manages and aligns personnel and agency resources and budgets to maximize outcomes.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Note: An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted for the below stated minimums excluding High School Diploma, GED, Licenses, or Certifications.

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Marketing, Business, Product Management, Communications or related field. Masters degree preferred.
  • Seven (7) years progressive responsible experience in corporate marketing, advertising, promotions or related field to include three (3) years experience managing a professional staff.
  • Pass a physical (medical) examination that includes a drug screen in order to operate DART non-revenue vehicles.
  • Proficient using PC or MAC, Microsoft Office suite including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Advanced written and oral communications skills to effectively communicate with all levels, both inside and outside DART.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees, vendors, contractors, media, a culturally diverse community, and others both inside and outside of DART when discussing technical information, interacting in meetings, or explaining policies and procedures.
  • Ability to be dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers; acts with customers in mind; establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect.
