DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

The ideal candidate will provide onsite maintenance support through preventive maintenance, trouble shooting and repairs within the highly automated HSM (Hot Strip Mill) to meet the business goals of AM/NS Calvert. 

The Basics:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 5 years of experience in Hydraulic Fluid Power field
• Mechanical/Electrical aptitude
• Familiar with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint)

The Extras:

• Associates Degree in related field preferred
• Formal Hydraulic Fluid Power Training
• Hydraulic Fluid Power Certification
• Data trending software skills (IBA preferred)

• Demonstrated knowledge of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) Practices

• Knowledge of Fluid Sampling and Tribology
• Able to competently handle a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
• Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material

 

 

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies
• Assists in the development and implementation of policies, standards and procedures for the hydraulic work performed in the department
• Prepares and presents reports and findings by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
• Applies fluid power theory and related knowledge to test and troubleshoot operational industrial hydraulic systems and applications
• Performs inspections of hydraulic systems, components and piping
• Able to supervise system maintenance, installations and commissioning
• Recommends modifications to circuit and components to improve performance and reliability
• Troubleshoots, adjusts and helps maintain machinery and mechanical equipment
• Coordinates, trains, and leads maintenance technicians for special tasks and responsibilities

• Industrial setting in the HSM (Hot Strip Mill)
• Gulf coast region in Calvert, AL
• Days, Monday to Friday with extended hours as required due to periods of peak workloads
