Pharmacy Technician
Location: Hazard, KY
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8-hours per day (schedule may vary)

About the role:
A Pharmacy Technician is subject to the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist as defined by Kentucky Law and Regulations. Functions performed by a Pharmacy Technician are subject to review by the pharmacist who directed the technician to perform the functions. This may include entering prescriptions on a computer, entering refills on a computer, counting and filling prescriptions, and performing other suitable task as directed by the pharmacist as long as this is under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, and in compliance with Federal & State laws and regulations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Knowledge and basic understanding of the interpersonal dynamics operative within the working relationships of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Registration or license when required by the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy.
- Current Kentucky Driver’s license, auto insurance, and unlimited access to a reliable automobile.
- No positive drug or alcohol test including, pre-employment, random, post-accident or reasonable suspicion.
- Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in confidential matters.
- Must be able to drive for extended periods of time with no ill effects.
- Must be flexible and have good written and oral communications skills.
- This position does not require the team member maintain a valid driver’s license or to drive a motor vehicle as a part of their regular assigned duties. However, if the team member does elect to drive a motor vehicle while in the performance of their job duties, they must maintain a valid driver’s license in the state in which they reside, and they must comply with state insurance laws governing liability, property damage, and bodily injury.
- Team members will be expected to comply with Bluegrass Care Navigators (BCN) Employee Health, infectious disease, and vaccination policies.
