The Job:
As a Manager, Manufacturing Operations here, you'll be part of our Verona, MS team working as an on-site employee. You are responsible for overseeing the production of the Walk behind product lines, and work with cross-functional teams to identify and eliminate waste, increase efficiency, and improve quality. You will also be responsible for managing all aspects of the business segment including cost targets, employee capability, morale, and quality. You'll get to:
- Lead and manage cross-functional teams to support improvement efforts throughout the organization.
- Coordinate with suppliers and customers to ensure that they are aware of upcoming changes in production schedules or product offerings.
- Develop metrics to measure performance and creating action plans to improve processes over time.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement by conducting research on industry best practices and technologies.
- Measure key performance indicators (KPIs) such as waste reduction, cycle time reductions, and cost savings.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders such as vendors and government agencies when necessary.
- Communicate with all levels of staff within the company (including executives) to keep them informed about project status and progress.
- Develop standard operating procedures for all activities within the SBU in order to standardize processes across departments.
- Monitor inventory levels and ordering new inventory as needed to meet demand.
The Person:
You love to learn and grow and be acknowledged for your valuable contributions. You’re not intimidated by innovation. In fact, you embrace it. You also have:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as engineering, business, or industrial engineering
- 5+ years in a process improvement related position with managerial responsibilities
- Sigma green belt and MBA is desired.
