Our Strategic Growth Team (SGT) is a dynamic national group of problem solvers, working across regions to deliver winning strategies and build meaningful client connections. We’re seeking a Regional Business Line Marketing Manager to join our team and take charge of marketing strategies that advance client engagement, secure new opportunities, and highlight WSP’s expertise for our Property & Buildings Team. This role can be based out of our WSP Los Angeles, Irvine, San Francisco, CA, Seattle, WA or Denver CO offices.

The business line marketing leader will facilitate and/or support teams in positioning for pursuits, including capture planning, proposal development, interview coaching and debriefs, with an eye for continuous improvement. In addition, they will act as a knowledge manager for the business line, maintain business line-specific collateral, support marketing communications activity, and improve awareness of business line services to enhance cross-selling opportunities. The role will closely partner with leadership to support client-specific growth plans and build the pipeline with our key clients.

Your Impact

Marketing Management

  • Develop and execute business line marketing strategies with leaders to achieve sales goals and align with regional and district business plans. 
  • Facilitate key pipeline updates, go/no-go discussions, and readiness reviews for major pursuits. 
  • Provide actionable insights and updates on business line performance, confirming alignment with WSP’s goals. 
  • May participate in or facilitate annual business planning activities 
  • Manages team of SGT staff assigned to partner with the Property & Buildings practice
  • Drives process improvements, technology adoption and automation to increase efficiency and enable sales growth
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by the National Marketing, Regional Marketing Director, Regional Business Line Lead.

Pursuits & Clients

  • Function as a capture manager, proposal manager, or interview coach to secure major project wins. 
  • Develop and review tailored marketing materials like resumes, qualifications packages, and project descriptions. 
  • Build and maintain client relationships, providing support for key client initiatives and care teams.

Knowledge Management 

  • Serve as the SGT’s primary point of contact in the region for the business line and act as a liaison to the national business line marketing leader to foster and streamline collaboration and knowledge sharing in our matrixed organization 
  • Train and mentor team members so they’re equipped to contribute meaningfully to business line objectives. 
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities by connecting WSP’s diverse capabilities across business lines. 

Events & Communications     

  • Plan and oversee business line participation in regional events, conferences, and sponsorships to enhance visibility. 
  • Collaborate with our national marketing communications team to promote campaigns, announcements, and award submissions. 
  • Support internal communications, including newsletters and leadership briefings, to keep teams aligned and engaged. 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, journalism or related field. Or equivalent years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in the A/E/C industry.
  • Thorough understanding and experience within the Property & Buildings business line and approach to the market.
  • Strong communications experience and excellent writing skills; able to articulate complex ideas in a creative manner and able to influence or persuade others.
  • Demonstrated experience of leadership, personal accountability, persistent and goal-oriented.
  • Strong business acumen with an aptitude for improving processes and a commitment to internal and external client service.
  • Knowledge of the pursuit development process from creation through submittal.
  • Highly organized; detail oriented; skilled with implementation/logistics.
  • Competitive spirit and the ability to build that passion in others.
  • Strategic thinker who can look at the big picture and drive strategy to achieve tactical objectives.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, SharePoint, and other communications-related software programs.
  • Ability to travel, as needed.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct
