Full-Time/Day Shift

$5,000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment – this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of employment. 

Performs duties to facilitate the filling and dispensing of unit dose, IV and stock medications as it relates to the automated dispensing machines (ADM) and CII Safe, automation vendors (e.g. BD-Carefusion or equivalent). Ensures proper maintenance, filling and dispensing duties are performed for CII Safe and the ADMs on the nursing units and other ancillary departments in a prompt and accurate manner. 

The specialist performs daily review/reconciliation of reports and transactions, monitors drug utilization, troubleshoots problems, assists in inventory management, assists in controlled substance diversion prevention audits/investigations and optimization, participates in performance improvement activities such as audits, data collection and analysis.

Required Qualifications:

• H.S. Diploma or GED
• Upon hire: Oregon Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician Or
• Upon hire: Oregon Pharmacy Technician License
• 3 years Minimum of 3 years (> 6240 clock hours) of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system or sterile compounding experience and PTCB certification - OR - 4 years (> 8320 hours) experience if technician does not have PTCB certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training Pharmacy technician program
• Bachelor's Degree    
• PTCB preferred (may be required where applicable by state)
• Pharmacy Automation & Technology experience

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
