THE JOB:
The Assistant General Manager supports the General Manager in leading the Restaurant Service team and Assistant Managers to deliver exceptional guest experiences in line with the MGM brand. Responsibilities include driving operational and financial success, overseeing staff performance, scheduling and training, executing F&B initiatives, and maintaining facilities to MGM Resorts’ standards while ensuring outstanding customer satisfaction.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Oversee daily restaurant operations including budgets, labor, scheduling, inventory, guest service, and marketing strategies to drive profitability

• Support the General Manager in executing business plans, achieving goals, and managing HR functions including hiring, training, feedback, recognition, and compliance with company policies and labor agreements

• Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction, resolve concerns, and manage guest feedback channels

• Partner with the culinary team to deliver a seamless dining experience between kitchen and dining room

• Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, health and sanitation standards, and company programs

• Maintain strong knowledge of menu offerings, food and beverage products, and operational equipment

• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• High School Diploma or GED

• 2+ years of previous experience in a high-volume restaurant or prior experience in a luxury or fine-dining establishment

• Working knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) systems and operations
