About the role

Berkeley College, a career-focused institution of higher education, with locations in Woodland Park, Newark, Woodbridge, NJ, New York City and Online, is seeking full-time Director of Admissions to work on-site in New Jersey. The Director of Adult Admissions is responsible for the recruitment of applicants.  They are to develop strategies, plan and execute events to attract prospective students, while overseeing recruitment efforts and maintaining compliance with all applicable policies. Directors are to participate and oversee the associates in guiding prospective students through the admissions process, providing accurate information about programs and offerings and assisting them in making an informed decision to meet their educational goals. Directors are expected to develop relationships with the counselors and the community groups and organizations that are part of the recruitment strategy.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Manage and motivate ADOA/STAFF
  • Continuously train associates on product knowledge as well as processes and procedures to ensure accurate information is disseminated to students
  • Hold weekly admissions meeting for all admissions associates to discuss ongoing initiatives
  • Manage observations of interviews, phone observations
  • scheduled entrance exams, financial aid appointments
  • Formulate strategies to evaluate daily, weekly, and monthly progress
  • Proficient in Salesforce data, records, views, and reports
  • Monitor the professionalism and accuracy of all associates
  • Work with Associate VP/VP of Admissions on a regular basis to monitor strategies, and future plans
  • Manage special promotions budgets and coordinate all adult admissions special events
  • Manage applicant pool to ensure student success
  • Maintain and manage staff schedules
  • Meet with Financial Aid Director on a regular basis
  • Contact and assist students in the enrollment process and document procurement
  • Develop relationships with internal and external constituents
  • Community colleges and transfer counselors, GED centers and community organizations to increase awareness
  • Represent Berkeley College at transfer fairs and other recruitment events
  • Join appropriate organizations to network and increase opportunities for students

Salary Range: $75,000 - $80,000

Job Location

  • Onsite
  • WPK, MDL*, NWK* Onsite* campus may be affected by campus operating hours which may require working remotely.
  • Required to work flexible hours and departmental rotation basis including nights and Saturdays
  • Directors are required to attend on-campus events as designated by the VP of Admissions i.e. Open Houses a nd other system-wide recruitment events.
  • Black Out dates are adhered to. 

 

Educational Requirements 

  • 2-5 Admissions experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
