Material Coordinator - WS

Reports to:  Shipping Supervisor

Supervises:  Distribution Center Manager

Summary Statement:   The Material Coordinator supports the production line with inventory as needed. The Material Coordinator also assists with any incoming and outgoing shipments as well as receiving them in against PO’s using D365. Will also be responsible for shipping out packages using the UPS system.

Essential Job Functions

• Process all pick requests and deliver inventory to the production floor.
• Receive products, assuring accuracy of items and paperwork prior to unloading.
• Update the product inventory as products are received and added into inventory.
• Prepare and process product returns.
• Conduct and log cycle counts.
• Scan and maintain billing records.

Marginal Job Functions

• Assist other personnel as time and knowledge permit.
• Participate in training and meetings as requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

• Must be able to work professionally as part of a team with other department employees.
• Must be able to comprehend and perform duties using established work and safety procedures.
• Must be able to become and maintain forklift certification.
• Must be able to do basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
• Must be able to lift 60 pounds and must be able to carry 40 pounds for a minimum of 25 feet.
• Must be able to bend, walk, stoop, climb and stand for a 10-hour period.
• Must be able to work both planned and unplanned overtime.

Education and Work Experience

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel is required.
• Experience with material/inventory control software systems is preferred.
• Must have a valid NC driver’s license with a driving record that will allow company insurability
