As a Field Service Engineer in our Onboard Service team, you’ll be on the front lines of technical support and service delivery—globally. Whether it’s commissioning new systems, performing advanced troubleshooting, training field teams, or delivering critical maintenance and repair services, you’ll be instrumental in supporting Evac’s mission across sailing vessels, shipyards, and customer sites worldwide.

You’ll bring deep expertise in at least one Evac product range and general competency across multiple systems. You’ll also be a key contact for internal stakeholders, offering expert-level technical advice and hands-on support to ensure customer satisfaction and optimal system performance.

What You’ll Do

Onboard Service Tasks

  • Carry out preventive maintenance, repair, commissioning, warranty, and project work on customer sites
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with installations and product performance
  • Perform start-ups, product testing, and hands-on customer training
  • Deliver field training for new Service Technicians and Engineers
  • Supervise projects onsite and coordinate with Project Managers

Project & Product Support

  • Provide expert field feedback to Product Management and R&D teams
  • Support warranty and pre-sales surveys, including courtesy visits and system reviews
  • Assist with technical support inquiries from internal teams
  • Contribute to equipment testing during development phases

Customer Satisfaction & Sustainability

  • Maintain professional, solution-focused communication with customers
  • Write detailed reports to support service, quality improvements, and technical documentation
  • Help improve products and services through lessons learned in the field

Our Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or relevant vocational qualification
  • Strong mechanical and electrical technical skills
  • Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and P&IDs
  • Good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel
  • Solid written and spoken English communication skills
  • Knowledge of control software (basic level)
  • High attention to detail and report writing skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, independently or in a team
  • Flexibility for global travel up to 180 days per year
  • Valid driver’s licence (B)
  • Suitable physical ability for work on board vessels and at shipyards
