Job Description
Applications will be considered on an as-needed basis determined by department need. This position may close early if the hiring need is filled or do to volume of applications received.
Instructors are expected to take part in regularly scheduled instructional meetings, professional development, and training and submit paperwork promptly.
Teach English as a Second Language, English Literacy Civics, and/or Citizenship Preparation to adult learners with emphasis on the following skills:
listening
reading
writing
communicative grammar
workplace skills
Citizenship classes will also incorporate the following:
US holidays
US history and government
Civic Engagement
Important persons
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university
Experience teaching English as a Second Language or English as a Foreign Language.
Salary Information
$23.00 - $30.00 Hourly
Tentative Schedule
Classes are typically held for 8 - 9 weeks for 2.5 or 3 hours. Times are 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.,
Times will vary at different locations throughout the Las Vegas Valley. Additional schedules may become available.
