SUMMARY

The Production Supervisor role is integral to the success of our operations. This is a supervisory position, focused on monitoring the efficiency and effectiveness of our processes and personnel. Essential responsibilities include oversight of employees, scheduling of machines and production, and troubleshooting production errors or issues. We are looking for individuals with experience in manufacturing and supervising and the ability to identify issues, find solutions, resolve conflict, and drive results under pressure. The ideal candidate will also have experience implementing 5S, Kaizen, and lean manufacturing initiatives.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Direct and coordinate the activities of production, including reading prints and work orders, scheduling machines, and setting production goals.

• Maintain records of employee hours and attendance, complete weekly payroll.

• Monitor the production and assignments of employees, using ATM, Shop Floor Plus, AS400, Infor XA Power-Link, Excel, and Word.

• Coordinate necessary maintenance for production equipment on both regular and as needed basis.

• Communicate and champion all corporate-driven safety policies and regulations; ensure subordinate’s compliance with and understanding of these policies. • Recommend or execute personnel actions, such as training, hirings, evaluations, promotions, disciplinary actions, or grievance resolution.

• Collaborate cross-departmentally at the local plant to evaluate processes, make recommendations, and implement improvements.

• Implement 5S, Kaizen and lean manufacturing approaches throughout production with a focus on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

• Supervise team leads and communicate goals, priorities and schedules.

• Performs other related duties as required.

 

QUALIFICATION/EDUCATION:

Required:

• Integrity - Reliability, Responsibility and Accountability.

• Significant experience in a manufacturing setting, including experience in a supervisory role (i.e. safety, scheduling, goal setting, and monitoring).

• Ability to monitor others and identify and solve complex problems

 • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills, including working with individuals in varying roles and departments.

• General computer skills, including skill in Microsoft Word and Excel and the ability to learn new computer programs and software.

• Demonstrated ability to control emotions, work effectively under pressure, and multi-task.

• Knowledge of, lean manufacturing, and Kaizen. • Must be a team player and willing to adapt to an ever-changing work environment and engage in continuous personal development.

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

• Must be able to wear all required PPE.

• Must be able to work overtime as needed. Preferred – Nice to Have:

• Skill or experience in ATM

 

 

 

Work Arrangement : Onsite  

Salary Range : $75,000  - $95
