International Tax Manager

Salary Range for this role: $155,000 - $185,000 USD
This is a high visibility role in the organization, requiring relationship building and coordination with many internal cross-functional teams, as well as with our external advisors. A successful US International Tax Manager should have a general understanding of the application of US international tax and transfer pricing rules, tax treaties, tax implications of cross-border transactions, integration with relevant local country tax rules, and be able to manage large-scale, transformative business/tax projects. The manager must be detail-oriented, highly team-focused, and able to meet deadlines to deliver results. This role provides an excellent opportunity for the manager to be exposed to many complex international tax issues, within a team-based learning environment.
Below are further details of examples of key responsibilities of the US International Tax Manager:
- Responsible for US international tax planning, compliance and reporting activities
- Manage international tax compliance calculations, preparing leading class workpapers, and completing U.S. international tax compliance forms 5471/8858/8865/1118 (as applicable)
- Provide tax technical research, analysis, memos, positions, and documentation for relevant tax concepts, including Subpart F, repatriation, foreign tax credits, GILTI, FDII, BEAT, BEPS 2.0/Pillar 2, withholding/FATCA, others, as needed
- Assist in managing financial statement 10K/10Q ASC 740 reporting requirements for international provision components and disclosures
- Assist in assessing tax implications relating to cross-border transactions, including transfer pricing, tax treaty related issues and integrating impacts of foreign tax regimes
- Actively help manage a broad spectrum of international tax matters, including tax planning, research, quantitative analysis, and modeling of tax impacts of planning
- Manage international tax projects, including project management, communication and driving an overall implementation process integrating various internal stakeholders and external advisors to drive project objectives
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to address complex tax issues
- Coordinate with colleagues in non-US jurisdictions for US tax compliance, reporting, and other filing requirements as they relate to international operations, structures, and transactions
- Stay informed about tax developments and analyze their impact on the Company
- Other matters that may arise day-to-day
- Masters in Tax or CPA
- Working knowledge of US International tax concepts
- 6-8 years’ Big 4 and multinational corporation international tax experience
- Strong analytical, research, professional writing, problem solving, and communication skills
- MS Office working knowledge, including advanced knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Technology savvy, knowledge of Alteryx, Power BI, Co-pilot, AI, a plus
- Self-motivator with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
