Technical Program Manager

Role Overview: 

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Technical Program Manager to lead the successful delivery of our radar product line. This role is critical to aligning cross-functional teams, meeting customer requirements, and ensuring on-time delivery within budget. The Technical Program Manager will collaborate closely with Business Development, Production, Customer, and Engineering teams to oversee program execution, manage budgets, and ensure all technical and contractual objectives are met. 

The TPM will report to the Director of Products and operate within the Product/Program Management Office (PMO)

Responsibilities:  

• Program Lifecycle Ownership: Lead full program lifecycle, ensuring cost, schedule, and performance goals are met. Lead and coordinate efforts to resolve project-related challenges and blockers. 
• Deep Understanding of Program Requirements for DoD Customers: Develop a comprehensive understanding of product requirements and maintain open communication with Business Development (BD) and DoD customers to ensure engineering efforts align with mission objectives. 
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate efforts across engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, operations, and BD for integrated execution. 
• Tools & Metrics: Establish tools and performance metrics for planning, risk management, and seamless execution. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies. 
• Customer Engagement: Provide regular updates to stakeholders, addressing needs to ensure alignment and satisfaction. 
• Budget & Resource Management: Manage program budget and resource allocation to meet project requirements efficiently. 
• Change Management: Manage and document scope changes, ensuring alignment with project goals. 
• Work onsite 4-5 days per week out of our office in Los Angeles, California. 
• Travel up to 15% as needed to support program and customer objectives. 

Minimum Requirements: 

• B.S. (minimum) in Electrical, Computer, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent 
• 10+ years proven DoD/Defense experience, preferably in a fast-paced or dynamic environment 
• Solid technical aptitude and an ability to understand technical designs, software, hardware and UI/UX development lifecycle, challenges and risks; ability to work closely and effectively with engineering teams
• Proven experience leading the full program lifecycle, managing cost, schedule, and performance for programs and contracts valued at $20M or more
