Food Service Worker, On-call (Cleveland Area Schools)

The AVI Foodsystems operation within the Cleveland Area Schools is now hiring friendly, service-oriented people to join our team. This position is an on-call as needed filling a Food Service Worker role that will work when staff is needed. A great way to earn extra money! This position will work as needed on-call and be paid over $20.00/hr.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods, and properly stores food, utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage
• Set up stations with entrées, soups, salads, breads, condiments, other food products and utensils
• Interact with guests in the serving, retail and dining areas
• Follow proper guest service procedures whenever interacting with others by smiling, making eye contact and greeting guests
• Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment following all client and regulatory rules and procedures
• Maintain a fast pace and ability to multitask when performing duties
• Perform any other duties as specified by management
• Willing to drive to different locations within a 60 minute radius
• No reimbursement for gas, mileage or drive time

Requirements:

• Valid Driver's License (a CDL is NOT required) and a clean driving record
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to effectively work independently and utilize time efficiently
• Ability to be analytical and organized
