We are seeking a highly skilled, analytical, and motivated Analyst, Programmatic to join our dynamic Advertising Operations team. This individual will play a key role in optimizing revenue performance across our programmatic ecosystem, partnering closely with sales, ad tech, and finance teams to deliver data-driven insights and ensure operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced media environment—someone who’s not only fluent in the language of ad tech, but also energized by solving problems and uncovering growth opportunities in a constantly evolving digital landscape.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain accurate revenue and performance forecasts to support senior leadership in strategic decision-making.
- Partner with the programmatic and ad operations teams to identify growth opportunities, mitigate risks, and troubleshoot campaign delivery issues to ensure revenue goals are met.
- Integrate and manage partner data connections into our analytics platform, ensuring accuracies and completeness of information.
- Monitor and analyze programmatic campaign pacing and delivery on a weekly and monthly basis, proactively addressing underperformance.
- Produce and distribute weekly inventory and yield reports for Sales and Executive teams, highlighting trends, gaps, and opportunities.
- Collaborate with Finance and Billing to reconcile monthly campaign revenue, resolve reporting discrepancies, and ensure financial data accuracy.
- Track and report on key programmatic metrics, including fill rates, CPM trends, eCPM performance, and sell-through rates for both direct and indirect channels.
- Assist in developing media benchmarks and yield optimization strategies across SSPs, DSPs, and exchanges.
- Maintain and enhance internal reporting tools and dashboards; automate repetitive reporting tasks where possible.
- Prepare short- and long-term revenue projections by product, channel, and platform, aligning with evolving business objectives.
- Stay current on industry trends and platform updates, proactively making data-driven recommendations for revenue and inventory optimization.
Requirements:
- At least 3-5 years of experience in digital media, with a focus on programmatic yield, revenue operations, or media analytics roles.
- Strong understanding of the programmatic ecosystem including DSPs, SSPs, ad exchanges, and header bidding.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, vlookup, and data modeling); familiarity with SQL or BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau) is preferred.
- Experience with Google Ad Manager (GAM) or similar ad serving platforms required.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with ad ops, sales, and finance teams to achieve revenue and performance goals.
- Highly detail-oriented, analytical, and organized; capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly present data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and proactive—comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
Note: The New York Post adheres to a hybrid work model. This position will be expected to report on-site 3 days per week.
