About the role

 

Arjo’s MOVE Clinical Specialist delivers MOVE outcome-based education to clinical staff at Arjo customer hospitals. The MOVE Clinical Specialist will also provide focused clinical support for MOVE Provizio programs in their region. This position works closely with all Arjo product categories to promote the MOVE Program and support Field Sales with clinical expertise and evidence for safe and ergonomic use of equipment, safer patient handling practices, and best practices for pressure injury reduction.  

Day-to-day activities:

  • Conduct Move program trainings and Arjo product in-service training and education within an assigned territory.
  • At the conclusion of each visit, submit reports focusing on the client’s areas of strength and recommendations for program improvement.
  • Collaborate with key customer contacts and internal MOVE/Arjo colleagues to provide strategic solutions to solve patient handling staff injuries, unique patient/resident transfer/mobility problems, SEM scanning, pressure injury reduction, and organizational process/system issues.
  • Mentor and coach internal program champions to overcome ingrained nursing and/or rehabilitative attitudes that are counterproductive towards achieving a minimal lift environment and culture change.
  • Attend national and regional trade shows to promote MOVE program recognition in the marketplace and assist in identifying potential leads.
  • Accompany Arjo Sales Reps during field visits to provide clinical expertise on Arjo’s offerings.
  • Maintain knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations governing Safe Patient Handling programs.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s degree in Nursing or related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical practice/direct patient care within acute care and/or long-term care environment.
  • Experience training/educating healthcare personnel on product use.
  • Experience within a medical device company or pharmaceutical company, and/or clinical experience in a specialty area: wound care, medical-surgical, orthopedics, urgent care, operating room, intensive care, rehabilitation and emergency room care.
  • Current licensure is required (RN, PT, OT designation or PTA or LPN preferably accompanied with Safe Patient Handling certification). 
  • Demonstrated consultative skills and flexibility in generating solutions.
  • Understands principles of ergonomics and/or risk management.
  • Intermediate skills in Excel, Word, Outlook; familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools (SalesForce.com) and other database concepts.
