Who we are
In May of 1991, former President George H.W. Bush elected to make Texas A&M University home to his Presidential Library. The site of the George Bush Presidential Library Complex, which houses the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum, the Walter and Leonore Annenberg Presidential Conference Center, and the Bush School of Government and Public Service, consists of ninety acres on the West Campus of Texas A&M University. The conference center houses two auditoriums, three banquet spaces, the Political Science and Economics Library, the Bush School of Government and Public Service's Extended Education offices, and the George Bush Presidential Library Foundation offices. In March of 2003, the George Bush Presidential Conference Center was renamed the Walter and Leonore Annenberg Presidential Conference Center.
What we want
The Assistant Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the Bush Presidential Conference Center, including scheduling and managing events, supervising staff, coordinating with service providers, and developing marketing information.

Salary: Will be commensurate based on the selected hire’s education and experience.

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8AM through 5PM with additional hours in the evening and/or weekends as needed.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Four years of customer service, event coordination, event planning, or related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in in Facility Management, Hospitality Management, or related field.
More than 2 years of experience in Event Planning or Event Coordination/Logistics.
Event Related Certifications or Licenses; Certified Meeting Planner (CMP), Certified Venue Professional (CVP), or other related certifications/licenses.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Customer service oriented.
Computer, Telephone, Basic Office Equipment, Event Equipment, Audiovisual and Lighting Equipment.
Ability to lift, move, or handle heavy objects.
May require bending, stooping, climbing, and/or moving
