The mandate of the Director, Treasury & Payment Solutions, Americas:
- Support the execution of strategic plans to drive Treasury & Payments Solutions growth within the Americas region, focusing on Global Financial Institutions (correspondent banking)
- Contribute to the development, coaching, and management of junior Treasury & Payment Solutions professionals within the Americas Region
- Foster alignment within Global Transaction Banking, Corporate & Investment Banking, and Global Markets teams on the importance of Treasury & Payment Solutions including cash management, corporate cards, and liquidity management.
- Act as a liaison for Capital Markets with the TPS Product and Corporate Treasury team to provide feedback, identify product opportunities, and drive innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in shaping the transformation agenda in Treasury & Payment Solutions and Corporate Banking in the Global Financial Institution sector within the Americas to enable continued business growth.
- Elevate the Treasury & Payment Solutions team in market leading complex cash management and liquidity solutions to banking clients in the Americas
- Strengthen relationships with client management teams and internal partners/stakeholders across BMO Financial Group in the Americas.
- Contribute valuable Treasury & Payments Solutions expertise to build BMO’s reputation in the Global Financial Institution sector within the Americas.
Key Accountabilities
Business delivery and operational effectiveness:
- Collaborate with partners in Global Transaction and Corporate & Investment Banking, as well as Global Markets, TPS Product & Service, and Corporate Treasury to support strategy execution and deliver solutions within the Americas
- Deliver market expertise in cash management and liquidity products to Financial Institutions in the Americas.
Client and relationship management:
- Delivery of exemplary client coverage, service, and loyalty including driving client advocacy for Global Financial Institutions.
- Identify and lead sustained coverage activity including cross-sell activities resulting in increased share of wallet, new opportunities and increase market share.
- Achieve results in a professional, ethical, and conscientious manner consistent with the risk policies and practices of the Bank.
Market leadership:
- Lead complex client executions in collaboration with bankers across multiple lines of business and professionals though support groups globally.
- Identify market potential and client opportunity through detailed understanding and analysis combined with consideration of competitor
- Participate in a high-performance winning culture within the Global Transaction and Corporate Banking teams by being highly engage in change and driving new ideas
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in a related field of study or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in Treasury & Payment Solutions, Corporate and/or Investment Banking, & Global Financial Institutions negotiating and structuring cash management, corporate cards, and liquidity transactions within the Americas.
- Experience across all correspondent banking products (payments, trade finance and lending)
- Demonstrated ability in market leadership and client relationship management with the ability to plan, manage, and execute effectively.
- Fluent written and verbal communication in Spanish is preferred
Base Salary: $175,000 - $215,000

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
