Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, collaborate, and execute with inputs from all company stakeholders on the creative development, production release, and market launch of all new products’ customer facing product instruction.
Explain concepts and features in simple, layperson language (8th grade level or below). Ensure technical verbiage is easy to understand as demonstrated through successful human factors testing. Facilitate product training development for human factors testing.
Tailor writing style to various age groups and audiences (e.g. adults, pediatrics, patients, healthcare providers) to maximize content retention.
Organize and drive timely reviews and iterations with all subject matter experts and stakeholders (both internal and external) of all instructional documents being developed. Particularly with UX, Medical, Clinical and Human Factors.
Work closely and collaboratively with other team members to ensure a single voice approach to both the customer facing copy and the UX specifications.
Maintain, in a detailed and organized manner, the electronic and hardcopy libraries of all materials used in the development of instructional materials from development phases through release to production.
Ensure efficient release and quality hand-off of outputs (documents and materials) to Labeling team for sustained design control and production.
May perform administrative duties relative to the development and launch of technical publications; such as filing, copying, binding, and archiving, as required and assigned.
Actively participate on improvements to SOP’s and on general advancements of processes for operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Ensure design, review, production, and maintenance methods and processes are consistent and follow/support the Quality Policy as well as all ISO Quality System procedures and guidelines.
Originate MLR submissions to coordinate material review to ensure timely completion, revision, and approval.
Conduct Design Reviews and participate in PI planning and Engineering Design Review meetings as required.
Report on all tasks and progress on execution following organizational practices and standards established by Program Management and project leadership.
Support and maintain documentation links between Insulet and all external Insulet partners.
Perform other duties as required.
Skills/Competencies:
High level of competency in the use of English language, proper grammar and spelling, and applied writing skills is required.
Eagerness and aptitude to learn new technologies quickly.
Ability to contribute broadly to documentation structure and design.
Comfort with a changing, dynamic software development environment.
Able to handle high workload, multiple responsibilities, and tight deadlines.

Ability to understand technical terminology and dialogue.

Strong communication skills with a particular emphasis on the ability to understand and effectively communicate product knowledge.
Ability to work independently on a multiple task workload and produce a quality product under a tight time constraint.
Ability to generate and maintain accurate records.
Must have ability to understand medical/clinical and technical aspects of diabetes management/care and drug delivery products.
Education and Experience:
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree (preferred field of study in a technical discipline) and 2+ yrs experience within the medical device, pharmaceutical or healthcare field writing/editing scientific/medical material; or 5+ yrs experience within the medical device, pharmaceutical or healthcare field writing/editing scientific/medical material
Experience in healthcare or life sciences
Proficiency with MS office tools and applications; including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Proficiency with Adobe InDesign
Preferred:
Diabetes experience
Proficiency with Sketch, Illustrator, Photoshop & Acrobat
