Position Summary The Architectural Engineer will be responsible for designing building systems, with a focus on MEP engineering, by applying practical and theoretical knowledge and engineering expertise. This role will work with architects, construction companies, and civil engineers to ensure that buildings are safe, efficient, and sustainable.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesTypical functions of the Architectural Engineer’s job include, but are not limited to:
  • Create plans, blueprints, and models for building systems. 
  • Design and facilitate load calculations for heating, ventilation, lighting, and air conditioning systems.
  • Understand and comply with regulations and building codes. Ensure that projects fall within accepted guidelines and rules.
  • Produces engineering design elements consistent with project specifications.
  • Produces design elements and troubleshoots flaws in accordance with the project hours, scope, and parameters.
  • Produces engineering construction documents based on project specifics.
  • Adheres to project timelines and related design activity, and communicates accurately and in a timely manner between the design team and the client.
  • Provides project coordination with in-house and outside sources.
  • Accurately and consistently execute QA/QC process.
  • Produces accurate and complete engineering project specifications within project parameters.
  • May participate in post-design activities and represent the company in client meetings, through construction completion.
  • Actively engages with other members of the company to continuously strive to improve processes, create efficiencies, and reduce costs.
 Qualifications and ExperienceRequired Education and Degree: Bachelor's in Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering field. Required Background and Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years in architectural engineering
  • Sound knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or plumbing engineering fundamentals about building systems 
  • Excellent communicator, organizer, and engager
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing demands and priorities
  • Initiate and enjoy independent problem-solving 
  • Successfully incorporate feedback and manage multiple points of view
  • Demonstrate excellent language and written communication skills
 Preferred Background and Experience:
  • Previous experience in an architecture, engineering, construction, or related professional service firm 
  • PE License Preferred
 Required Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
  • Expert level proficiency in utilizing Revit to apply BIM Modeling knowledge to various architectural and engineering projects
