The Non-Volatile Engineering Group (NVEG), a division within the Technology and Products Group (TPG), is dedicated to advancing non-volatile memory technologies, such as NAND. Our primary mission is to innovate and develop groundbreaking solutions that improve the performance and reliability of non-volatile memory products.
Position Overview:
As a Senior SSD Validation Development Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will design and develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate Enterprise and Datacenter class NVMe SSD products! You will work closely with Architecture, Design, Hardware, and Firmware engineering teams to build and execute SSD validation test cases, triage failures, and drive them to resolution. Responsibilities:
Design and develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate Enterprise and Datacenter class NVMe SSD products.
Collaborate with Architecture, Design, Hardware, and Firmware engineering teams to develop and implement SSD validation test cases, identify failures, and drive them to resolution.
Diagnose and resolve SSD and software integration issues, implementing systematic approaches to reproduce and identify root causes.
Own development of test sequences and libraries to validate SSD.
Review current test plans, coverage, and testing activities to drive both increased effectiveness and efficiencies across the product portfolio.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with 7+ years of experience in SSD Firmware Validation.
At least 5 years of hands-on experience in debugging NVMe Protocol issues.
Experience using Lecroy/SerialTek analyzers.
Good knowledge of coding in Python and Linux operating system.
Effective oral and written communication with strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, as well as effectively collaborating in a team environment.
5 years of expertise using (white/black/grey box) test methods for Enterprise/Datacenter SSD Firmware.
Experience integrating tests into an automated test environment and collaborating with test execution teams to drive validation plans/strategy in a Semiconductor company.
Preferred Qualifications:
Expert planning and tracking skills, able to see the big picture, well-organized, focused on results, capable of managing multiple projects, excellent time management with respect to priorities and self-management.
Must have excellent knowledge of system storage and the relationship to the platform ingredients: CPU, Memory, PCIe, drivers, OS, firmware, etc.
Ability to recommend and instrument new validation approaches that drive better end-to-end coverage, more accurate testing, and expanded testing services.
The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$137,000.00 - $233,000.00Our salary
