Summary
We are enthusiastically searching for Environmental Subject Matter Experts and GIS Technicians to join our growing team throughout the southern US. Selected candidates can expect to work on alternative delivery projects, including mega-projects.
Key roles include:
- Task Lead / Subject Matter Expert
- Task / Subject Matter Expert Team Members
- GIS Specialists
- Environmental Planners
Desired skillsets include:
- Experience conducting environmental analysis specific to large transportation projects
- Experience with environmental permitting specific to large transportation projects
- Experience with NEPA
- Experience using and interpreting roadway files to analyze impacts
- Experience with complex projects which include many overlapping layers and data sets that are in flux.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
GIS Specialists:
- BS Degree or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience
Junior Level Engineers Task & Subject Matter Expert Team Members:
- BS in Engineering + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience
Mid-Level Engineers/ Task & Subject Matter Expert Team Members:
- BS in Engineering + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience
Senior Level Engineers / SME & Task Leads:
- BS in Engineering + 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using GIS and DGN’s
- State DOT experience

- These positions are expected to be hybrid (remote/in-office) and based out of a local AECOM office.
