Distribution Center Maintenance Technician

This position will serve our Air Conditioning Division, located in Lewisville, TX

Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm

Pay: Starts at $26.75/hour

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

• Waters and rotates forklift batteries

• Lubricates the basiloids

• Paints and maintains safety lines throughout the warehouse

• General maintenance and repair in the facility 

• Switches out forklift attachments when needed

• Maintains the placement and installation of location barcode labels

• Ensures chains and equipment for docks are functioning properly

• Completes routine functionality checks for dock plates

• Lubricates dock levelers when needed

• Swaps out dock lock lights when required

• Installs all barriers and bollards throughout the warehouse

• Performs preventative maintenance on dock locks and shelters

• Supports coordinating maintenance contractors as needed

• Repair facility doors

• Maintains and repairs large metal trash bins as needed

• Move furniture as needed
• Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others, and work to maintain constructive professional relationships

• Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• High school diploma/GED preferred

• Basic math, language and reading skills; basic computer skills

• At least 2 years of warehouse maintenance experience required

• At least 1 year of forklift experience required

• Preferred forklift certification per OSHA standards

• Ability to follow direction

• Basic understanding and use of the English language is required for the safe and effective performance of the job

• May work outside
   

   

Physical Demands

• Sitting, standing, walking, bending for extended periods

• Occasionally lifting 50lbs

• Pulling and/or pushing
