Job purpose

The BorgWarner Arden campus offers two world class technical centers and a cutting-edge manufacturing facility that designs and produces turbos, fan, and fan drive components for the automotive industry. The Arden campus offers a multitude of career opportunities and is in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina.

This position will manage and maintain accuracy of inventory within SAP system on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for executing Cycle Count program. Reconcile discrepancies.
  • Enter Cycle Count data into SAP and central data base
  • Work exception reports: COGI, Location discrepancies daily
  • Perform Return to Vendor Processing weekly in SAP. Conduct off site vendor inventory as required.
  • Coordinate with Shipping/Receiving and Material handling physical movement of parts in SAP
  • Perform obsolete inventory analysis and dispose as required
  • Key any customer returns in SAP.  Coordinate with Warranty Department. 
  • Conduct and Participate in any month end procedures for packaging, clips, other expensed items
  • Cross Train as back up for Shipping Coordinator and Receiving for vacation coverages.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

What we’re looking for

  • 2-year degree preferred
  • 5 years in Manufacturing / Materials Environment
  • Ability to work overtime
  • Ability to achieve Fork Truck certification through the BWCS program.
  • Basic computer skills: SAP, Excel, WORD, Microsoft office
  • Experience operating within Material Planning system; Preferably with SAP, scanners preferred
  • Preferably Material Handling experience in an industrial environment.
  • Data entry experience with High level of Accuracy preferred
  • Experience with Excel, spreadsheet preferred
  • Experience in Logistics: shipping, receiving, inventory control, cycle counting preferred
  • Attendance on the job is essential.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to follow instructions, safety rules and regulations.
