Organization Relationships:

  • Reports to Sr. Manager - Capital – Adult & Feminine Care, Nonwovens - ECE NA Capital Execution
  • Interacts frequently within various segments of the Personal Care Value Stream organization as well as Mill Operating Teams, Staff Manufacturing, Research & Engineering (R&E), Planning, Distribution, and Procurement.
  • Receives project assignments from the various Capital Managers across the ECE NA Capital Organization. May flow to work as needed across the NAPC Value Streams.

In this role, you will:

  • Drive the development and execution of capital projects using the Kimberly Clark NA Project Management Practices (PMP) process as projects are assigned.
  • Effectively collaborate with a cross-functional team that includes R&E, Supply Chain, mill operations, procurement, equipment suppliers and external service providers. 
  • Prepare and implement project budgets and schedules.  Implement appropriate internal controls and standards to ensure compliance with applicable policies, laws and regulations.
  • Conceive, develop, validate, and share ideas leading to new or improved products, processes, materials, systems or scientific knowledge aligned with business unit objectives.
  • Drive a culture of protected and documented innovation to protect and defend K-C proprietary technology, products, and business processes through appropriate use of patents and trade secrets. This includes completing required project documentation through EFS, EDR, and Appropriation activities and following PMP documentation including Corporate Financial Instructions (CFIs).

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree, or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline (e.g. Science or Engineering related)
  • 3+ years of related technical experience in mill, production or staff R&E environments.
  • Preferred candidate has subject matter expertise in Personal Care converting processes.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with the following Mechanical Engineering competencies:
    • Machine/Prototype Design
    • Engineering Economics
    • Project Management (PMP)
    • AutoCAD, SolidWorks
  • Proven ability to establish strong, effective cross-functional network.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to adapt to rapidly changing business priorities and assignments.
