Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding an Emergency Medicine Physician to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. Located in the heart of Brooklyn, it accommodates more than 518,076 outpatient visits, more than 141,328 emergency room visits, and with 627 beds, more than 25,000 inpatient admissions annually.   • To assess, evaluate, diagnose, perform history and physical exam, treat patients of all ages who present in the Emergency Department with any symptom, illness, injury, or condition.
  • To provide comprehensive and quality care to the patients.
  • To work collaboratively with nursing as well as other clinical services in the hospital.
  • The provider is to complete all assigned administrative tasks/charts as required by the department as well as the hospital.
  • To provide clinical teaching and oversights for residents, fellows and students.
  • Must be up to date with clinical skills and knowledge base by regular CME as well as taking part in regular departmental teaching activities.
  • Will perform all other duties assigned by the chief of service or his/her designee.

Qualifications

  • Meet the Qualifications to be credentialed as an Emergency Medicine Physician

  • Board eligible or board certified in Emergency Medicine

  • License to practice in NYS

Preferred Experience:

  • Successful completion of an ACGME approved residency in Emergency Medicine

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $143,155* (board eligible); $145,983* (board certified) based on 21-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $233,175** (board eligible) and $236,003** (board certified), which includes the baseline salary, 401 (k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:

  • Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520.

  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):

    • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.

    • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.

  • Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.

  • Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.

  • Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top-tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
