Basic Job Functions:
- Provides IT implementation services and technical support for First Solar’s Manufacturing, Inventory MGMT, and Quality business applications and business processes.
- Builds appropriate and effective business relationships.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent years of work experience.
- Minimum 2 years of related work experience.
- Ability to manage projects from conception to implementation using a mix of internal, external and off-shore resources.
- Ability to manage, direct and plan the proper method to roll out upgrades, enhancements, and code changes.
- Experience with system integration.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple issues and tasks simultaneously, whether working independently or with other people.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate status effectively to all stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to write reports and queries from multiple data sources. Drive end-user reporting abilities so business users can access accurate, relevant, and timely information for improved decision making.
- Experience in documenting processes, specifications, and work instructions.
- Experience in working in 24/7 manufacturing or utilities operation a plus.
- Proven interpersonal skills.
- Ability to train users.
Required Skills/Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of Manufacturing, Inventory MGMT, and Quality best practices (both business processes and Oracle transactional processes).
- Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Manufacturing, Inventory MGMT, and Quality
- Inventory MGMT (scrap, receive, issue, replenish, put a way, transfer, & returns)
- Work Order MGMT (create, schedule, & tracking work orders during all stages of production)
- BOM MGMT (part numbers, quantity, & component relationship
- Inventory Transactions and impact to Oracle On-hand Inventory and Oracle WMS inventory
- Receive & Process EDI Transactions
- Integration between Oracle and Oracle WMS
- Knowledge of Oracle Cloud ERP Manufacturing
- Work Definitions including creation via ADFDI
- Work Order MGMT (create, update, reschedule, issue, completion, & close)
- BOM MGMT
- Work/Facility Schedule, Shifts, & Patterns
- Production Transactions (finished goods, semi-finished goods, scrap, return to production & quality holds)
- Integration between Oracle and MES
- Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Quality
- Asset MGMT
- Inspection Plan MGMT (WIP & Inventory)
- Quality Issues & Actions (including locks) for failures and rejections
- Maintenance Forecasts
- Maintenance Work Orders
- NCP (non-conforming product) MGMT including blocking/unblock LPNs
- Integration between Oracle and MES
Essential Responsibilities:
- Evaluate business requirements and propose solutions to meet those requirements (system, data, technical and integration) for the Procurement area.
- Assesses the integrity of data from various sources. Applies a variety of analytical and presentational techniques, in consultation with experts if appropriate, and with sensitivity to the limitations of the techniques.
- Takes responsibility for understanding client requirements, collecting data, delivering analysis and problem resolution. Identifies, evaluates, and recommends options, implementing if required. Collaborates with, and facilitates stakeholder groups, as part of formal or informal consultancy agreements. Seeks to fully address client needs, enhancing the capabilities and effectiveness of client personnel, by ensuring that proposed solutions are properly understood and appropriately exploited.
- Analyses business processes; identifies alternative solutions, assesses feasibility, and recommends new approaches. Contributes to evaluating the factors which must be addressed in the change program. Helps establish requirements for the implementation of changes in the business process.
- Takes responsibility for investigative work to determine business requirements and specify effective business processes, through improvements in information systems, information management, practices, procedures, and organization change. Applies and monitors the use of required modeling and analysis tools, methods, and standards, giving special consideration to business perspectives.
