The opportunity - Senior/Lead Power Systems Engineer
Join our Energy business as a key member of a skilled team that brings ideas to life across various energy infrastructures, from large-scale renewable projects to optimising transmission and distribution systems.
Your role will include:
Serving as an expert in power systems analysis, offering support to internal stakeholders and clients.
Leading projects, mentoring engineers, and analysing power system studies to inform planning and grid connection.
Advising clients on power generation, energy storage, and network operations.
Collaborating with external clients and service providers.
Contributing to one of Australia’s largest communities of power systems specialists, addressing complex challenges with innovative solutions.
Delivering timely, quality advice on power system operations and development, while leading cutting-edge projects in energy storage and inverter-based generation.

What are we looking for from you?
We are seeking an enthusiastic Senior/Lead Power Systems Engineer who shares our passion for innovative engineering and is committed to continuous learning.
You will be degree qualified with 10-15 years of post-graduation experience in the power industry, preferably in consulting or as a project developer/owner/operator.
Key Criteria:
Expertise in Electrical Engineering: Strong understanding of power systems theory.
Modelling Software Proficiency: Experience with power system modelling tools such as PSSE, PSCAD, and DIgSILENT PowerFactory is essential.
Practical Experience: Field experience with power systems behaviour and knowledge in protection and primary systems design are advantageous.
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with the National Electricity Rules and the grid connection process within the NEM is required.
