POSITION SUMMARY:

The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for performing all required operations to process all Warehouse and MRO orders.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Operate a forklift, push pull, hand-truck or wagon to load, unload, move, stack, stage and count product and materials.
  • Be able to lift, push and/or pull material up to 50lbs.
  • Account for the safe and efficient operation of the forklift and all other equipment that is used within the operations.   
  • Strictly adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
  • Perform daily inspections on forklift and log the information into check sheets.
  • Unload materials/packages safely and accurately to their staging location, then safely transport materials/packages to their location destination.
  • Pull materials and products for production, warehouse, and or shipping by ensuring that label and product match, and skids are transported to its destination location on a timely basis.
  • Move product from its location or staging area into trailers.
  • Use radio frequency equipment for receiving, put-away, picking, returns and shipping functions, as required.
  • Input transaction data into SAP to maintain a running inventory balance.   
  • Receive MRO spare parts using SAP and stock spare parts in designated location.
  • Accept MRO returned inventory and determine its disposition.
  • Properly document and keep appropriate records of transactions to guarantee the control of inventory. Ensure stock is rotated. Assist in daily cycle counts, reconcile stock records, assess min/max levels and review inventory activity.  Assist in a yearly physical inventory and audit.
  • Identify and address any discrepancies in inventory amounts.
  • Working knowledge of shipping and receiving documents, packing slips, Purchase orders, Bill of Lading, MSDS, etc.
  • Ability to climb a ladder to stock shelves and retrieve materials as needed.
  • Receive approved requests from various departments for required items and issue the same to authorized individuals.
  • Create new item central store number and location.
  • Generate reports from SAP and utilize the data via excel documents for various needs.
  • Create Miscellaneous Shipment forms for domestic or export shipping.
  • Work independently and as a team along with our Own it Together value.
  • Understand and perform internal daily filing system including BOL’s, packing slips and documents from Vendors/Carriers.
  • Understand Environmental Health & Safety procedures for safe storage of flammables, evacuation procedure, hazardous spills, and use of fire extinguisher.
  • Proper housekeeping and ensuring work areas are in a clean and orderly condition, free from hazards.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.
