JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Title

Production Supervisor

Reports to

Operations Manager

Summary/Objective

Oversees and manages all day-to-day production operations, in the assigned production section. Contributes to production planning processes. Allocates personnel resources. Proposes procedures improvements and implements technical infrastructure. Ensures adherence to established quality guidelines and production safety requirements. Determines manufacturing priorities based on established weekly production schedules. Makes daily assignments. Directs all related personnel actions; advices staff, executes performance measurements, etc... Interprets specifications and makes judgments about the acceptability of production that is in process. Leads all Production Operators in production section assigned.

1. Provide manpower planning to ensure production schedules are met
2. Lead the training and qualification process of direct reports
3. Facilitate Team meetings to communicate departmental KPI measurements, etc
4. Lead and solicit continuous improvement ideas from team members
5. Conduct departmental audits (safety,5s,etc)
6. Ensure employees are following established procedures and Standard work process.
7. Address employee performance issues in a timely manner
8. Manage the time and attendance system to ensure employees are properly compensated
9. Ensure that all HSE policy and procedures are being followed
10. Conduct accident investigations
11. Must understand and support all Quality, Product Safety, and Health/Safety/Environmental/Energy policies.
12. Must understand and adhere to all relevant statutory or regulatory compliance obligations.
13. Must understand, support and adhere to the Integrated Management System policies, procedures and instructions.
14. Must understand and support relevant key performance indicators (KPIs), as defined in the goal tree.

Skills and Competencies
1. Has SAP system knowledge.
2. Exhibits accident investigation skills.
3. Has ADP ezLabor knowledge.
4. Has working knowledge of lean principles.
5. Exhibits excellent leadership skills.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has >30 direct personnel, and 5-10 indirect personnel.

Work Environment

The employee will be required to perform duties on a computer terminal. The employee may be exposed to shop floor conditions, i.e. noise, heat, cold, dust/dirt etc.

Physical Demands

The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of an office work environment position.
 

Required Education and Experience
1. Associate Degree in Process, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering Preferred 2. 3-5 Years of Relevant Experience
Preferred Education and Experience
1. Lean Manufacturing, 5S, SAP
