Senior Test Engineer (网络/ONU/CPE)

Calix Solutions Test Team is seeking a senior solution test engineer based in Nanjing, China. Our team validates telecommunications equipment functions, which includes data, voice, video services and applications on access network products. The successful candidate will contribute to test and validate Calix access network products as well as some 3rd party applications.

Responsibilities:

• Work with Calix management on new and existing projects.
• Work with local and USA-based management to plan project details, create and maintain test environment.
• Work with 3rd party to perform test and resolve issues.
• Develop, document, and execute verification of solution test strategy and test plans individually and as part of a team.
• Develop comprehensive solution test cases and environments.
• Work with team to automate necessary cases to improve our test coverage and robustness.
• Work with customer service groups to reproduce and identify problems.
• Work with local and remote test engineers to support test automation.
• Write clear and concise problem descriptions and test reports.​

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Communication Engineering or Software Test Engineering. Master’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience in telecommunications development or software test environment.
• Experience in data communications or telecommunications equipment testing in one or more of the following areas: IP, Video, FE/GE Ethernet, IPv6 etc.
• Strong knowledge in the Layer-2 xPON ONU products testing including control plane (data services and protocols) and data plane (OMCI/CLI/NETCONF/EWI)
• GPON/XGS/NG-PON related knowledge.
• Experience in popular container and technologies, and good troubleshooting skills through different cloud API.
• Experience of testing integrated 3rd party software.
• Ability to analytically break down complex problems and clarify the issues.
• Ability to automate test cases and scenarios. A good knowledge of automation test.
• Good communication skills for working with vendors and Calix groups.
• Strong verbal and written English skills.
• Self-motivated, process oriented, and detail oriented.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong data communications knowledge.
• Strong knowledge of networking, telephony, or video services.
• Strong knowledge of smart home deployment and user cases.
• Test automation and script expertise.
• Experience on TR069 protocol test.
• Experience on solution test or customer service project.​
