What role you will play in our team

 

  • Provide technical and administrative support to research and technical staff in operating and conducting PVT and fluid properties experiments. 
  • The open position is located at ExxonMobil Houston Campus in Spring, Texas. And reports through Research Lab Operations Supervision 

 

What you will do

 

  • Conduct PVT experiments such as CCE, Separator Test, Constant Volume Depletion, etc.
  • Perform fluid transfers, flashes, and compositional analysis.
  • Conduct maintenance of Sanchez and SLB PVT Cells and other ancillary equipment.
  • Coordinate with research and engineering staff and business partners to plan work studies.
  • Assist research staff with data collection, quality checks, and data input/extraction.  
  • Perform pre and post test data analysis and interpretation including generating standard or customized reports, plots, and graphs.
  • Troubleshooting: Be able to determine issues with equipment or workflows and collaborate within the team to identify and implement creative solutions.

 

About You

 

Skills and Qualifications

 

  • Capable of independent, safe, reliable laboratory work.
  • Must be mechanically inclined and can work hands on.
  • Must have experience in handling high temperature, high pressure operations.
  • Must have experience in handling and maintenance of various pressure vessels, syringe pumps, and pressure transducers. 
  • Must be able to perform and have a deep knowledge of PVT experiments including measurements of fluid properties such as viscosity, density, and other various characteristics.
  • Must be able to illustrate detailed understanding of fluid properties.
  • Must have detailed experience with Sanchez PVT Cells. Able to operate and perform maintenance procedures.
  • Flexibility is required as you will be performing complex tasks and experiments in your role as Laboratory Professional. Cooperation, teamwork, and communication skills are paramount for this role as is a strong background in math, science, computation, and creativity. 
  • Interact with engineering and geoscience research staff to develop various testing methods and programs. This involves having a solid foundation in fluid mechanics, properties, and phase behavior to model and develo
