About the role
Role Summary
Manufacturing Production Scheduling work focuses on scheduling production, processing, assembly, and packaging activities as well as forecasts, plans and schedules the daily workflow based on customer orders and inventory. Continuously evaluates open orders to ensure prioritization and communication to the production team to ensure product movement.
Main Tasks
- Forecasts, plans, and schedules production workflow based on customer orders
- Collaborates with Production Supervisors to define priorities in production schedule
- Releases product to appropriate department
- Utilizes company ERP system to create and analyze reports to determine best scheduling methods
- Closely monitors job progress from job creation to completion
- Enters inventory information and confirms physical inventory when needed
- Analyzes and evaluates inventory and delivery problems recommending solutions
- Takes a proactive approach to scheduling methodologies to identify potential conflicts throughout the different phases of production in an effort to minimize errors and maximize customer experience
- Provides data as required to forecast estimates and schedules of goods in process and needs for future orders
- Ensures safety and quality goals are met
- Additional duties as assigned
Your Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate Degree in Business Discipline and/or a combination of certification a plus
- 2 years of scheduling experience in a manufacturing operation setting preferred
- Must be a forward thinker, self-starter, motivated, and dependable
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Requires strong computer skills to include Excel reporting using pivot tables and V-Look up
- Requires prior experience working within an ERP system ( SAP beneficial)
- Must be able to read and write reports
- Must be able to read, interpret, understand and follow instructions, product labels, safety rules, operation and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and schedules
- Must possess acute observation skills to ensure the safety of those around them
- Effective communication, include speaking, writing, active listening skills with the ability to take instructions
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to push, pull and lift 50lbs
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
