Job Description:

The University of Northern Iowa’s Department of Elementary and Middle Level Education seeks applications for a temporary Assistant Adjunct Professor, starting in January 2026. This position will support internship coursework for students who will be in the field two days per week on Tuesday and Thursday for approximately 3 hours per day. Some days may be longer. This position will also need to work in partnership with the two courses that are paired with internship to ensure consistent messaging of expectations; will lead periodic seminars on topics in education; provide feedback to lesson plans; observe and evaluate lessons that are taught by the students; and work closely with the mentor teacher in support of the UNI intern.

Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in elementary education or related field; and experience as a teacher, evaluating teachers or coaching teachers required.
