The Last Bite – General Manager
Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking the Last Bite General Manager. In this position, you will control all aspects of the retail end of the candy shop within the resort. The general manager will manage a high-volume store and be excellent at retail merchandising, driving add-on sales, be aware of store performance, be an educated buyer, and be a smart scheduler.
Key Responsibilities
- Store Operations
Ensure smooth daily operations, maintain store cleanliness and visuals, and manage transactions.
- Labor Management
Recruit, train, and lead associates while promoting great service and team morale.
- Inventory & Supply
Oversee candy and supply orders, monitor stock levels, and coordinate with vendors.
- Sales & Financials
Track sales, hit revenue goals, manage promotions, and control budgets.
- Guest Experience
Deliver a fun and friendly atmosphere, handle feedback, and build customer loyalty.
- Retail Merchandising
Design and maintain attractive product displays that drive sales and align with seasonal themes or promotional goals.
Ensure proper product placement, signage, and visual consistency throughout the store to enhance the shopping experience.
What We’re Looking For
- We require a background of 5 years’ retail/food and beverage experience and three years of management experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in retail, visual merchandising, or store displays is required.
- Basic knowledge of P&L, labor control, & food cost/recipe costing.
