Position Summary
The Financial Counselor provides financial counseling, insurance verification, submits and obtains authorizations and related administrative support for Outpatient Rehabilitation Services. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial clearance and registration processes, assisting patients with billing and insurance-related and authorization inquiries, and supporting clinic operations as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform financial counseling functions for outpatient rehabilitation services, including financial clearance and financial screening.
- Register patients accurately and efficiently, ensuring complete and compliant documentation.
- Process insurance authorizations and verify coverage requirements in coordination with third-party payors.
- Respond to walk-in patient billing inquiries and provide clear explanations regarding financial responsibility and insurance coverage.
- Provide cost estimates for services to be rendered and advise patients on meeting third-party payor requirements.
- Serve as a liaison between patients, providers, and internal hospital departments to facilitate smooth access to care.
- Act as a backup for front office operations, including patient scheduling and check-in activities.
- Float to outpatient rehabilitation clinics as operational needs require.

Compensation
- Salary Range:Ā $30.36 ā $43.49 per hour
