Description
The John T. Steed School of Accounting in the Michael F. Price College of Business at the University of Oklahoma invites applications for a renewable term full-time instructor/lecturer position in accounting beginning in August 2025.
We are seeking candidates who are enthusiastic about connecting with students and committed to teaching excellence and innovation. The candidate is expected to teach primarily in the undergraduate program, likely at the introductory and intermediate level. Ongoing professional development and/or engagement with the profession are also encouraged.
General
The Price College is AACSB-accredited with approximately 6,000 undergraduate, 700 master's, and 40 doctoral students. The Steed School of Accounting is separately accredited by the AACSB with approximately 600 bachelors, 250 MAcc (residential and online), and 11 doctoral students. Graduate students experience strong placements and high CPA exam pass rates. The Steed School faculty currently consists of 22 full-time faculty members: 14 tenured / tenure-track professors and 8 eight full-time instructional faculty.

Qualifications
A graduate degree in accounting or a related-business discipline is required. Professional credentials (CPA, CMA, etc.) preferred.
Evaluation:
Candidates will be evaluated based on their relevant accounting-related experience and fit to departmental teaching needs. Candidates with prior teaching experience are encouraged to provide evidence of teaching effectiveness through submission of student or peer evaluations of their teaching.
