Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia’s capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. This position serves as the first point of contact at the Workforce Development & Conference Center on the Parham Road campus, providing front desk coverage and administrative support to ensure a welcoming and efficient experience for visitors, students, and partners. The role supports daily operations by managing inquiries, assisting with registration navigation, and completing essential administrative and operational tasks. This position is critical to maintaining strong customer service, improving access to CCWA programs, and supporting internal team functions.
Special Assignments

May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

KSA's/Required Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience providing professional customer service in a high-volume office, front desk, or student-facing environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly with students, staff, and visitors
  • Experience managing multiple tasks and prioritizing responsibilities in a fast-paced work environment
  • Proven attention to detail and accuracy in administrative or clerical duties
  • Experience providing general administrative support, including scheduling, filing, and office coordination
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience managing email communications, shared inboxes, or office systems effectively
  • Ability to independently assess inquiries, resolve routine issues, and direct individuals to appropriate resources or departments
Additional Considerations Operation of a State Vehicle No Supervises Employees No Required Travel
Travel between campuses as needed.
