Job Description Summary:
The Coca-Cola Category team is seeking a highly skilled leader for our Kroger and Albertson’s team. This role is integral to our relationship with our customers, sales teams, and bottling partners. This role will provide strategic direction for the team and anticipate needs in a dynamic fast paced business environment.
As a Group Director, you will leverage your strong leadership, technical, and analytical skills to ensure Coca-Cola is positioned to win in the marketplace. This will require leading a high functioning team in building capabilities and technical skills, customer relationships, and strategic thinking. You will work daily with the customer, sales teams, and our bottling partners to build category strategies that enable the team to win with the shopper at the physical and digital shelf.
Key Responsibilities:
People Leadership: Lead a high functioning category team that supports the Kroger and Albertson’s business. At Coca-Cola, our people are the key, and, in this role, you will be responsible for developing the team and expanding their existing skill sets. In this role, you will lead the work of the team but also sit on the Kroger/Albertson’s leadership team and be expected to anticipate business needs and help drive the business forward with a strategic vision and sense of urgency. Insights and Strategic Leadership: This role will be critical to anticipate business needs, customer questions, and act quick to an ever-changing consumer. This role will work with the sales team to enable category growth through strategic consumer, shopper, and shelf insights. Collaboration: The leader of this team is critical to drive cross functional collaboration to meet the demands from the customer, the sales team, and our bottling partners. You are also expected to represent the customer and consumer internally essentially becoming the conscience of the sales team internally. Technical Analysis and Reporting: The leader of the team will be responsible for developing a data strategy to enable data agility across both customers. This work will include deep collaboration with 84.51 and other data providers to build automation and capabilities to the team enabling them to focus on driving the business based on data insights. Continuous improvement: The pace and complexity of our business continues to increase, and it is critical that we constantly focus on where and how we can improve. This role is critical to ensure we future proof our business and ensure we are prepared to the ever-changing consumer demands.
Qualifications:
Education: MBA Preferred but minimum of bachelor’s degree in business or finance
Experience: Minimum of 10 years’ experience in data analysis, consumer insights, category management, and/or space analytics
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actional insights for multiple-stake holders.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Customer Focus: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers by understanding their needs.
Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail at both breadth and depth.
Skills
Advanced analytical capability
Specific capabilities with customer specific data sources (84.51, EYC, etc.)
High level of experience in data providers (Nielsen, IRI)
High technical skill and aptitude with computer software (MS Office, JDA, Power BI, etc.)
Demonstrated reputation for customer engagement with ability to positively drive business results.
Ability to link category leadership strategies to customer strategies.
Analytics experience – ability to draw insights and actions from data.
Planning experience – strategic thinking, forward looking, time cognizant.
